We have for a number of years carried out an annual survey of the fees paid to chairs, audit chairs and directors of London-listed investment companies. As a result of this work and the resulting extensive database, we are uniquely well-placed to review the directors’ fees paid by an individual investment company and to put their fees into an industry, as well as into a sub-sector or other relevant perspective.
In carrying out reviews, we particularly take account of the workload of directors, the specific knowledge and skills required and the risk involved for each particular company, as well as the location and number of board meetings, together with other relevant factors.
